Good lord, online printing houses are getting good. Tried a test run of everything from screenshots to concept art to my own photographs, and the results? It almost looks like I know what I’m doing…

Aaaaargh, Dreamfall! Since I finished the game last week, I’ve been stumbling on Dreamfall stuff everywhere. As though I weren’t furious enough for the way it ended. I know there’ll be a sequel(s), but still…

Anyway, since the quality looks so good I should really try one of those online printing thingies now that I don’t have a printer at home.

See? That’s what I mean! Grrrrrr…

Dreamfall Chapters had better be released.

That too. And bah for my error on the name… :(

There is a chance for Beyond Good & Evil 2! Yay!

Dreamfall, hmm… I liked The Longest Journey, but “stealth missions” and “combat system” made me not buy Dreamfall IIRC.

With one shockingly poor exception, the stealth missions aren’t a big deal (it involves an underground tunnel complex, an invincible monster, and lots of me screaming obscenities at the good Mr. Tornquist). The combat’s easy as hell too, to the point where it gets kinda funny at times.

But yes, I’m really jazzed at the idea of BG&E2;. Loved the first one…

Might give Photobox a shot, they look quite good.

The only reason i enjoyed Dreamfall was that its story gave a sense of despair and wonder at what happened to all the characters in The Longest Journey. When I started to come into contact with the old characters at Venice i felt saddened that the lodge building had been destroyed and wondered what had happened to the women who controlled it. I also wondered what had changed Charlie to become the manager of a club; did he push the original owner hard enough till he got out?

A story that can make you think about old characters like that and make you wonder what happened to it all is a good story in my opinion! :)

I think what happened to Fiona was mentioned. But yeah, the Venice part was deeply unpleasant. That’s the kind of thing I ‘like’ to see though. One of the best bits about the Tex Murphy, Wing Commander and Ultima games was hooking up with old friends to see what had changed.

The photo quality is amazing. I’ll definitely give Photobox a try.

I’m still hurting over what happened to Daventry in King’s Quest III.  They never did explain what happened to the giant after the three-headed dragon moved in.  (Maybe he hooked up with Dracula at Graham’s wedding.)

I’m looking forward to sequels to both games mentioned.  I love a continuing series, but hate a cliffhanger with a bitter taste.  Zoe in a coma?  Fine.  April possibly dead?  I can wait.  But leave Uncle Pey’j alone!

My fix for that kind of cliffhanger? Imagine just one line at the end.

“But then, out of nowhere, the locusts attacked...”
